The novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Brexit, and impending US elections are just three examples of the forces at play which could make or break fleets, affecting everything from emissions regulations, to cross-border operations, to capacity and driver availability. Crystal balls remain outwith the abilities of truckmakers, but through use of connected technologies, the big players want to offer their customers better visibility of their vehicles than ever before, and the means to better understand their business.
